The seat is half the size of a regular chair, making it slim and compact. Even with four chairs together, the feeling of oppression is minimal. It is also perfect for those who want to save space in the dining area.

The concept is a chair that supports the spine while keeping the back straight. It is suitable for players of musical instruments such as cello, violin, flute, and guitar. The bold idea of reducing the seat surface to half has resulted in a highly original design.
"I could play pleasantly without feeling uncomfortable in the seat. Since I sit forward while playing, it is reasonable that the chair has only half the seat surface. I don't mind the sides (edges) even when I spread my legs apart. It's also nice that I can use the backrest when I'm resting. This is not possible with an ordinary chair." (Male cellist)

In classical music, "Op.2" means "second work," but the first work, "Op.1," was designed by Jeong Woo-jin and won the Gold Leaf Award at the IFDA (International Furniture Design Competition Asahikawa). It was later commercialized by WOW and won the Good Design Award in 2013.

The "Op.2" has a slightly different feel to it than its predecessor, the "Op.1," in terms of size, shape, and the seat fabric. You can choose from Ezo Ash (Tamo ash from Hokkaido), oak, or walnut as materials. All of them are made from natural wood that is over 100 years old.

Depending on the material and fabric type, the total weight of the chair is approximately 2 to 3 kg, making it light enough to easily carry. The slim and compact design with a width of 500mm, depth of 352mm, and height of 698mm makes it possible for a single person to load the chair into a car and bring it to the performance venue.

It is light and easy to carry. It is a stress-free chair that makes cleaning easy. The slim legs make it easy for the robot vacuum cleaner to operate.

There are a wide variety of comfortable fabrics to choose from, so please choose the one that suits your taste.

The material used is Ezo ash, a Hokkaido ash tree that is over 100 years old.

You can also choose a version with a drawer. This is a great way to store small items such as guitar picks, tuners, capos, instrument maintenance tools, notepads, glasses, and other small items.
Founded in 1972, "WOW" is a domestic furniture manufacturer based in Asahikawa, one of the six major furniture production areas in Japan. The company name contains two meanings: "words of admiration = Wow" and "trees that have value = Worthy Wood".
We specialize in easy-to-order furniture, where you can choose the shape, size, and color, as well as highly creative wooden furniture made with a natural wood processing technique called "tsukiita" that makes the most of the beautiful grain of the wood. We also produce designer works that have won competitions.
WOW's philosophy is "We want to create something that people want to use." No matter how good a design is, it is meaningless if it is not used. Our goal has always been to breathe life into Hokkaido's wood and create furniture that creates a "WOW" in the hearts of those who use it.

The founder learned the philosophy of functional beauty in Germany. The attitude of pursuing rationality, that "furniture is only furniture if it is used," is still carried on today.
The comfort of a snug fit. The comfort of a snug seat. We will suggest furniture that matches the size of your room.
We are actively developing competition entries into products. When developing our products, we pay homage to the original design while also making no compromises on functionality.
Ezo Ash is a type of ash wood from Hokkaido used in WOW furniture. It grows in the harsh nature of winter and develops beautiful grain over the years. The more you use it, the deeper it becomes and the more individuality it brings to your furniture.
